Girls, why do some of you say 'tummy' or 'tinkle' instead of 'stomach' or 'pee'?

I don't know. It actually really bothers me to call the stomach anything other than stomach :p

Tummy just sounds childish and belly...childish and I feel like it's used to describe a pudgy stomach.

Tinkle also sounds childish. I don't really specify what I'm doing or what I did in the bathroom. I just use the all inclusive phrase, "I have to use the bathroom."

Then again, I'm not a very girlie girl and it tends to be the more "feminine" females who use the terms like tummy and tinkle :p

"Tinkle" is not a word in common use where I come from, though I've come across it on the Internet. In fact the first time I actually heard it said was recently in the US when I excused myself to visit the washroom, and my client smilingly remarked something like "Have a nice tinkle."
"Tummy", on the hand, is very commonly used here by children as well as adults in casual conversation. We often say "My tummy hurts", but never "I had a tummy infection"; it's always "stomach infection".

I've always used stomach, pee and/or use the bathroom. I've never really heard anyone say any terms like that around me and second I think my parents would've corrected me if I used them.

Why do you say 'pee' instead of 'urine'? Are you trying to be crude? It sounds like something a 15 year old boy would say.

Don't judge others so harshly because you may doing the very same thing you are judging them for and not even realize it.

Actually, I think much better of them than I do of a guy who for whatever reason feels the need to publicly call them out about it.

Um, I DO say 'stomach' and 'pee'. But I also say 'tummy'. 'Tinkle' sounds ridiculous. I also say 'p.iss', 'urinate', 'empty my bladder' and any manner of other things, lol.

I call it a tummy because the stomach is a specific organ and the word "abdomen" sounds too rigid.
