Girls, Is the word "tits" offensive to you?

II don't care what the guys think, and won't pose it to them. It'd be a circus if I did.

I used to use that word, around the guys, but I'm now finding it a little offensive myself. I used to think it was a cutesie, happy little word. "tits" What could be wrong with that? But when taken in context, it seems crass and vulgar. It is one of the "seven dirty words" George Carlin listed in his 1972 monologue: "Seven words You Can Never Say on Television". And pretty much still stands today.

Do you find it offensive? If so, why?

I don't care for it, and I've heard it used in degrading ways, but it's not a word I immediately take offense at hearing. Kind of like how the words "girl" or "boy" aren't offensive on their own, but if you call a grown woman or man that in a certain tone and context it can be considered degrading.

I believe people should be free to say what they want though, and agree with Carlin, but that doesn't mean you can't have a negative opinion of people's choice of words, especially in a rude context.
