Sorry about that, man. Your friend obviously must have a mix of extreme emotions running trough his head. I always say reaching to old is not a guarantee. We only live once, unfortunately not everyone thinks the same, like your friends daughter, she must have think that couldn't happen to her. I hope the guy get a life sentence.
Easy for bad things to happen, and another person doesn't even have to be involved. When I was in college, at the beginning of one term a girl and a guy went up the coast and were washed off a rock. Another died in a car wreck at 19 while adjusting his music.
@Be careful about the choices you make. . . . . . They can have tragic consequences. Being careful doesn't mean that you will stop having fun. But being careless may mean that you stop having fun. . . you may stop tragically, stop permanently, stop forever.
My heart goes out to all of the people who lost this beautiful young lady. Such a senseless act! May you and her all find peace in your time of suffering.
Life does not always make sense because not everyone thinks and acts like me, or you. I just purchased a sympathy card to mail to my friend and I will be ordering flowers for the funeral tomorrow. It is NOT a fabrication!
I mean I guess it's possible, but just doesn't make sense.
I mean I would imagine something like this would end up on the news. Cause well it's a house party. The people in the house and the neighbors would probably hear the gun shot.
When I tell you that it did happen and you respond that maybe it could have happened, it sounds like you still doubt my credibility. I am telling you that it did happen. It is not maybe. It is not a fabrication. I don't want to reveal the identity of the people involved but I have seen several newspaper and television reports of the incident as well as the online obituary. Funeral arrangements have not been finalized because the coroner has not yet released the body. I saw the booking photo of the punk who did it. I have seen the hundreds of pictures of the girl posted on FB by her grieving father - pictures of her when she was 6 years old and pictures of her from 6 months ago.
The house party was at his home. He ran after her when she left the party. He shot her in the parking lot. Neighbors came out, saw what had happened, called 911, and a nurse/neighbor attempted CPR but she died on the scene. The defendant was arrested on the scene.
You think it didn't happen. Her father wishes it didn't happen. The police did not arrested the boyfriend because "maybe I guess it's possible."
Yes, these things happen and that is the message of this myTake. You make choices and they have consequences. Sometimes the consequences are inconvenient, sometimes they are significant, and sometimes they are horribly tragic. Make the wrong decisions and THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU. Really!
He lived in my hometown for several years and moved away only about two years ago. As an alumnus, he was active in local fraternity matters. I am president of my fraternity's area alumni association so I am networked with many people who also know him. He works in hospital administration and one of his hospital colleagues attends my church. In fact, his colleague was president of the congregation for two years and now I'm in my second year as congregation president, so I am particularly close with his colleague. Finally, my fraternity brother is very active on FB and though I am not an active FB'er, I did look when I kept getting notifications about numerous posts by him.
Domestic disturbances are one of the big causes of death. Police hate going on those type of calls because they never know if some person will turn a gun on them. Murder is a fact of life in our society today. I have no idea why some girls are attracted to bad boy assholes but they should have their heads examined because they are playing with fire. This type of thing happens way too often if you ever watch the news. Parents need to be more aware of who their daughters are dating.
Not only obvious "bad boys" can turn abusive or even murderers. Anyone can inadvertently cross paths with a killer in the making. You never know what your friend, neighbor or even family member is capable of even if they seem ever so nice.

Very sad story I almost cried I hope he's in jail now
Yes, he is.
That's good
Oh my God! I may not know you or your family, but you have my deepest condolences. 😔
Reading this made me shiver... I am so sorry for your loss
I agree.

I appreciate this great reminder!

This sounds kinda made up. I mean how long was she dating him?
It seems like they just met and when they went to a party together the guy probably got too drunk.
Besides who the hell open fires at a house party? And this is over a girl leaving. Just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

So... If it's already in the news and being spread around social media, how come you can't include the information here?
Ok well can you give me the city where this happened?
I included some details that are not public information and I would not want to embarrass the family. I have no motive to lie about what has happened.
Actually yeah that's another thing.
How do you have all this information when it's your frat brother's daughter?

I'm sorry to read this. Indeed, it's a sad way to die.
Fuck... this is devastating. I can relate to this. Thank you for sharing 🙏
A month or two ago a girl was shot to death in my country. She'd been known to associate herself with some unsavoury characters.
Good take.
That's horrible I'm so sorry for everyone in her lives loss.
I'm so sorry that happened... that's awful, I hope he rots in prison.
Love makes you blind. She obviously not seen the red flags and got killed.
This is so sad. Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry your friend is having to go through this.
It's a shame that for most people no amount of warning can get them to overcome their breeding instincts and making poor decisions like this.
Indeed.
One invites such things into their own life..
Rip.
I think that this is a very important message thanks for sharing
Its sad but you can't predict the future. I could die tommrow of a heart attack and I wont' be able to stop it from happening. at least she lived.
At least who lived? My friend's daughter is dead. The memorial service will be held this Friday.
As In she lived her life even if was short lived and that’s admire-able. Death is part of life.
Murder is not supposed to be part of life.

@Daniela1982 yes! @olderand wiser it’s part of life. Things happen unfairly and unfortunately all the time either good or bad. That’s part of life.
Not only obvious "bad boys" can turn abusive or even murderers. Anyone can inadvertently cross paths with a killer in the making. You never know what your friend, neighbor or even family member is capable of even if they seem ever so nice.
So every bad choice is ok to talk about except the one that would have saved her life?
Add me to the list then and please don't come to my country.
Older, but you still haven't learned respect.
