Serious people=boring?

I can't laugh at every little thing anymore which i think is a sign of growing up. sometimes people think i'm rude or that i don't like them because i don't laugh at their jokes. I don't know which one is worse.

serious people usually make the worst first impressions mostly in a friendly environment because they immediately establish strict boundaries even if they don't really want to. It has it's own advantages especially in a professional environment where people may find you a little intimidating if you have a serious, emotionless look on your face. But your personal relationships are going to suck like your interactions with the opposite gender because as a guy i'm expected to be funny and easy going all the time. Right? Even if a girl i'm talking to makes a joke it's likely that i won't laugh and imagine the way that girl would feel. I'm not trying to be an ass that's just how i am. But i should add that i usually have interesting conversations and i talk about things that interest me with much passion. I don't know if that makes me not boring but i hope it does. Anyway what do you think?
