Thank you! Because of the way GaG is set up, I couldn't respond using the format I wanted to, so I am posting a My take instead. I really appreciate everyone who took the time to post a reasoned and thoughtful response to my question. It was great, and shout-out to @NamerOfStars for a top-notch opinion. Thanks a bunch!

All that to say, we come to it. The moment of decision. After much kicking and screaming, sleepless nights and agony, I have reached my conclusion. Here goes:

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow for the sake of one of my favorite actors, I shall fear no evil, for GaG is (mostly) with me. Wish me luck as I charge the Iron Throne.

@Jennz6 I hear you; I'm actually dreading it. I think what I'll do is just try to get through the first season (10 episodes). I'll just switch to another tab if I have to; I am kind of a wimp because visuals really imprint on my brain. But the promise of a great story I must investigate, to see if these things be true. Then, at least I can say I watched the first season and make a more accurate assessment.
