Is 19 too old to start an acting career?

So any actors out there who would give me some advice? I always wants to act, I don't know if I'm good or not cause I've never done it before, but I feel like I belong there. I felt that way since I was little. I don't care about the fame or money, I just love being in the set and adopting a new persona every time and bringing that written scrip to life !!! It's just amazing.
Any ways my parents never let me do it but now that I'm old enough I want to start it. I'm too late? Does age matter? Most actors I see start from very young age !!

You would be surprised there are some actors who got their major gig at an older age. Take classes, get legit representation, audition and do what you can to network with people in the industry. You will need to be thick skinned because people will say stuff like "your no good... etc.". You got to stay strong and keep going at it. There are ways to approach acting but you have to put yourself out there.

Ok, I'm in a community college and we have some good classes here, I'm gonna take those and probably some others outside.
I live in San Diego so I'm close to LA but I don't want move yet, I don't feel like I'm ready. So for now that's all I'm gonna do, try to learn.

Look up the bookstore called Samuel French Bookstore in LA. It will have the right resources for you.

Stage 32 is like FB where you can network with people. Samuel French has a publication called "The Call Sheet" which is updated every few months that will list legit casting agencies, projects, literary agents (I think) and talent model agencies. Find time to come to LA and check this bookstore out. Go to meet up dot com and check out acting/social events. There might be a meet up group there in SD.

It's not too old if you have the right connections but if you don't then it might be too old.

Got into a movie with Bernie Mac when I was 21. Keep at your dream. The best actor going in my opinion is Daniel Day Lewis and you have 30 years on him.
