Is starting university at 21 too old?

Due to current life circumstances, I'll be starting university when I'm 21 (18 now) do you think this is old? Just afraid I'll be missing out on a lot of first timers with someone... never had a girlfriend etc.

That's not old. I have mature age students in my course. I don't mean to hate on them, but it gets really annoying when most of the time they are older than lecturers or tutors and they act more superior than them. They also ask too many damn irrelevant questions.

21 is not old, you definitely won't be the only one starting later. People also like to take gap years to go on vacation or 'find themselves'.

youre never too old! that's an ageist attitude, my friend was 30 and she's so happy she went and she has a degree now as before she went she was trapped with a violent boyfriend who didn't let her live! there shouldn't be an age limit on learning new stuf! 21 is still a baby and the fact you asked this question proves that!

not at all. WHen I was 18 and paranoid about sh*t going wrong and me having to start uni later...well it seemed like such a huge deal.

Through my time at uni though I found out that being an undergrad at any age up to 24/25 is actually rather normal and all the way through your 20s and occasionally into your 30s isn't too freaky, most people have one or two of them on their course.

Na. Some of my best college friends are either a couple or several years older than me. I mean, if you wait too long, you'll gather too many life responsibilities which will make it harder. But 21 isn't waiting that long.

My dad went back to school when he was 40. There's no required age to attend or finish in college. There was a lady in her 60's in one of my psychology classes.

Why are all these users so paranoid about age? Relax man. I always see everybody here all paranoid because of the age for school but funny thing they aren't this way when it comes to dating younger girls, or girls dating older guys.

90% of the people in my classes are over 30+ some are even 60 years old.. so no 21 isn't to old.

Well the school is more career orientated, but a university you will be fine girls ranging from 18-25+ for those doctor degree's.
