Definitely not. You go to college to learn, not to socialize. Besides, 30 is young.

I went back and completed my degree in my late 30s. I didn't need the diploma because I already had a great job. I just wanted it. What's interesting is, when I did go back, I was a much better student and even became friends with some of my professors.
I even made friends with some of my class mates, including girls.

I have a friend who went back and got his masters degree when he was in his 40s. He was some kind of high level hospital administrator.

I've heard of people in their 60s and 70s going back to get additional degrees.

Some people go back just to broaden their education.

No, it's not too old. In fact, there are many benefits to going to college at a later age. For example, you may have more life experience and be able to relate to your professors and classmates better.

Not at all. It’s very young. You can do anything you wish.

Even 90 is not old for being a student.

No, I did not graduate college until I was 31 and then I went to grad school for 4 years after that. I had a good career in IT instead of working in Home Depot

Many people go after they retire to learn about something they always wanted to do.
To keep my license I have to take continuing education classes.

no age is too old to invest in your education in order to either improve your career or your life in general.

the question is what exactly are you aiming to achieve?

It's never too late. I had classmates in their 40s, and they were great classmates.

It's literally never too late to learn. In fact, as we age, it's more vital to our mental health and well-being to continue to learn.

You ever seen the decline in old people that happens when they stop learning new things? They become even more resistant to change or adaptation, and become trapped in a prison of ignorance of their own making.

Nope. If there is something you are interested in learning, then go do it... I've seen 60 year old medical doctors go back to school to get PhDs so that they can stop practicing medicine and transition into research and teaching...

No 30 is not to old to go to college/university, I'm 61 and I'm still doing courses through a university in the UK called the Open University that allows you to the majority of your course/courses at home attending summer classes at affiliate colleges/universities for those modules where you need lab time & equipment.

Even 85 is not too old to stop you from achieving knowledge and qualifications.

You just need to manage the practical side of that endeavor.

Best of luck !!! May the srength and motivation be with you.

I believe most guys should go to college as they get older not after high school because you don’t know what you need to know of what you want and just spending money stupidedly when you could bought a house first.

@Asker , in college I had a friend who was 29 when she first attended college. She went and she successfully graduated. She just turned 40 and successfully give birth to her first child, a son. She is out there doing everything despite the doubts and limitations that society tries to put on us. Good for those who hit all their milestones by certain ages but it doesn't work that way for everyone.
