How do you flush public toilets?

is that a typical public toilet in the US? never seen such one. the flush on toilets here is usually that high that you don't even ask the question hand or foot.
if it looks disgusting then I use a piece of toilet paper to help but since I wash my hands after that anyway it's usually okay.

it's quite low, almost at the toilet bowl level.
I don't want to bend over at my waist and reach out my arm to press the handle down; so i rather lift my foot up and press down on the handle with it.

I use my foot. Sorry to all you hand flushers that I am tracking spilled pee and all sorts of other shit on to this handle. Seeing how many people flush with their hands, I am starting to feel a little guilty:-/

i hate touching anything in public toilets so i usually dont flush or touch anything.
