I feel insecure of my scar (picture) ?

i had surgery just over 3 weeks ago on my hand and now i have a HUGE scar. i always feel people looking at it and its just an annoying imperfection. i have nice hands and perfect skin, and now this... note: its only 3 weeks after the surgery so my hand is still a bit swollen, red, and discolored from iodine

that picture was a few days ago, it has gotten a bit better since then... but thats pretty much how it'll look more or less

my dad says since my whole arm is "scarred" anyway (tattooed) this shouldn't matter to me. but i feel otherwise

It's fome you shouldn't really sweat it stritches heal over time and begin to fade. I know they never fully go away but they won't remain that noticeable. And I mean it's just a hand and you're a guy chicks dig scars you could tell a bunch of stories/lies about how you got it.

I mean honestly it's not that bad you shouldn't midn it. You're a guy and guys tend not to have perfect skin and get bruised up I mean I defiantely would take that on my hand as long as it will start to fade over the burn on the side of my stomach that will never fully go away.

That looks like a story waiting to be told. If there is one thing women find attractive in men are their scars. Men who have scars are perceived as tough and strong. I bet you'll attract more good things than bad with it.

ok ok here. what im out and a girl asks how i got the scar and i tell her that some guy was saying some not so nice things to my ex girlfriend, and then i beat his ass and needed surgery. i could delivery that story really nonchalantly

It's FINNNE , you can tell cool stories about how you got the scar at a pub or something.

People look at it because it's different not because they're looking down on you or anything. They're curious about that scar on your hand , that's it.

Just keep treating it with whatever your doctor prescribes. Failing that, some kind of OTC scar cream or something might help.

With time, I'm sure it'll become less and less noticeable. Not to worry, man.

I think that it looks very pretty. :) I really love scars. I think that they are beautiful to look at, and they tell a story behind them. :) my mom used to tell me all of her scar stories, and that is why I find them very interesting and not ugly at all.

I have scars on my hands from IV lines, or from stupidity. Scars are kinda hot, so long as they're not self inflicted

You could always cover it with some gauze or medical tape or sumthin. Until it's done healing of course. It would also have people asking what happened to your hand. Even girls ;)
