Why does my crush always show off with his phone and pretend to be texting someone?

hes always busy on his phone, sometimes it looks fake and that he is pretending, he looks up at me and then shyly looks away getting right back to his phone...why is he doing this?

you know he is just pretending to be busy :D

i think he has a crush on you too.

maybe he does it not to seem really obvious and so, but after looking at you and then back to his phone, any person might think he was just thinking and then he returned to do what he was doing and you too would think he is busy and so he wouldn't seem into you.

and my crush used to do the same when he feels nervous or when he runs into me, he just get his phone out of his pocket and pretend to be busy :D

so I think it is a good sign, this is usually nervousness,

but this is just me, I don't know to what extend your convos. is going on. and whether he flirts or always pretending being busy to avoid talking to people.

maybe you have never talked before, and it is just staring and looking away, holding eye contact and lock eyes, those are signs of being into you.

I used to do that all the time! This seems stupid but the reason I would do it was to appear I was busy and occuppied so I didn't have to talk to other people or interact with them.

That's a defensive mechanism used by someone when they are afraid to engage in social interaction. I would be willing to assume he is either attempting to make you feel jealous or he's making an excuse to not engage in a conversation. I'm not sure how you feel about this person, but if you like them go ahead and say something to them, break the awkwardness and go for it.. There's no reason why your crush would play it off to the extreme where they won't even speak to you.
