Which is worse, being Deaf or Blind?

In your opinion , which would be worse being Deaf or being Blind?

Me being hard of hearing, I would say being blind is worse because at least you have your sight and you have a sense of direction when you are deaf. Granted, being deaf sucks too. Because if someone comes up from behind, you wouldn't know until it's too late. That's why I hate it when I have to take my hearing aids off because I'm in a rather vulnerable position (completely deaf) when I do. Just because I'm a big guy doesn't mean that someone couldn't take me down/out. I depend a lot on my hearing aids. It doesn't mean I can't live without them, but I could definitely struggle in certain ways.

Blind is way worse. Deaf people live a very close to normal life, blind people are very restricted in what they can do.

I love music and it is such a huge part of my life. But after many years contemplating this I have to say I'd rather be deaf. So much of communication between people is expressions on their faces, body language, glances and sign language is very communicative. The world is beautiful and if I were to go deaf today I would always remember my favorite music but there is nothing like locking eyes with someone you have instant chemistry with on every level.

I'm pretty much deaf as is, my hearing is shit. So I'd say being blind. My mom is deaf in one ear from west nile and while she gets annoyed and has to ask people to repeat themselves a lot, it's still doable.

Granted being fully deaf would be different but... yeah I think being blind is worse.

I can only see out of my left eye, legally blind in my right eye, can't really drive that well because of it xD so I would have to say being blind

Are we talking about blind/deaf from birth? If so, I'd way rather be blind, if your dead from birth it's gotta be near if not impossible to learn to communicate.

Really though even if we're talking about after birth I'd rather be blind, I'm a music lover, plus everyone knows the blind guy is gonna get the ladies over deaf guys, the deaf guys just don't listen ;)

I'm actually deaf in one ear and wear glasses. One day I'll be like Hellen Keller but when I'm in my 70s. But if I could keep one, It'd be sight. I don't mind not hearing. But I would miss the sound of my kids voices but I'd miss seeing their faces more

i would rather be DEAF than blind as you can get hearing aids if you are deaf, but you cannot get anything but a guide dog to help you see if you are blind :(

Blind is definitely worse. I can't imagine not being able to see the sun every morning. Plus I'd have to stop drawing, skating and playing my bass and piano. I'd never get to see my gf again. Definetly worse
