Hearing or your eyesight—which one do you think you will start to lose first?

I am sure it will my hearing after a lifetime of hearing music full blast or going to loud rock shows.

I really would prefer to be deaf than blind. I want to be able to see tv, read, play games online. I can have subtitles. I will miss music. But that's less an issue than not seeing. Struggling to walk around, shop, see people, see beauty etc.

Sadly tho... it's likely my eyes are wearing out faster than my ears.

Hearing. I already have 50% loss in one ear. And blasting music all the time doesn't help either as you said.

I have one bad ear too. The other ear is still fine.

Yeah I hate it sometimes because people have to repeat themselves when talking to me sometimes especially those with low voices.

Yes, I often have to make people repeat what they said to me; I just can't hear it. I also have the ringing in the ear thing.

My hearing started to go in my 20s. Too much time spent in noisy computer rooms.

My eyesight is actually getting better as I get older, not as nearsighted as I was as a kid.

I usually don't put much of a strain on my eyes, or my ears, so probably something else, maybe my sense of smell (I often catch a cold).

I don't think I'll lose either one. My eyesight is very sharp, and I eat food that is especially good for the eyes. I don't turn the volume up all the way when I play music; I prefer it low or somewhere in the middle. I don't even wear a headset most of the time—I play it on the speaker instead. So, it's my bone health that I'm scared of. 😭

I have to say being 44 iam using my phone with reading glasses for the first time ever my eye sight is fine looking far away but it happened and dont remember it happening it was like turning a switch but its not to bad rather have this happen then hearing or not being able to see far away

Eyes, sometimes I see a blurry black fog but only for 2 or 3 seconds and not often enough to bring it up to my doctor yet

@Nikki1989 I said 'eyes' first because I noticed my "close up' vision changed when I turned 40. Hearing was 'damaged' in my late 20's by loud music and GUNFIRE, (which changed my hearing the most - causing more hearing damage
