Why do people project their insecurities onto others?
Do you agree?
Hmm. "We hate in others the things we hate most about ourselves"
I think it's correct. We tend to hate others for some flaws that destroy them, because we want to help them and they don't do anything about that. And we don't either, that's the problem. Thinking about wanting to change something bad about yourself, but you can't, so you want to help others to fix the same defect, and fail, so you hate them for their incapability to do something, just so you don't have to hate yourself more.
"Why do people project their insecurities onto others?"
Because, for some reason, they can't help themselves. So they try to see their own defects in others, just to feel better, to feel like their are not the only ones with defects.
"Why do people project their insecurities onto others?
Because they are literally incapable of handling how pathetic they are. Harsh, but true. I've had insecurities up the yin yang and every time I projected that insecurity onto someone else it was because I didn't have my sh*t together enough to deal with my problems.
when they point there finger at someone they is always three pointing back at them
no, never get to a level of irrationality to believe in a term like hate
dislike perhaps?

Did you not read the question at all? I'm just asking if people agree with the popular sentiment not for you to be an ass
