People usually think of negative stereotypes when they think of black girls.14 Reply- +1 y
Yeah, it's annoying tbh. I feel like I dont fit that bullshit stereotype. Like, I live in Kensington Chelsea, England, I'm a straight A/A* student, my parents are pretty well off. All my siblings (6) have attended Harvard, Cambridge and Oxford University. Not all black people/girls are like that.
- +1 y
Exactly! But somehow black females tend to be the embodiment of those personality traits.
+1 yhmm.. i have heard ''sassy'.. not sure what it means..

Have you actually gotten to know black girls? Not all black girls are like that. Take me for instance; because i'm far from any of those horrible words.. I live in Kensington Chelsea, England, I'm a straight A/A* student, my parents are pretty well off. All my siblings (6) have attended Harvard, Cambridge and Oxford University. Not all black people/girls are like that.
Opinion Owner+1 yFirst of all, did I say that all black women *are* these words? No, I didn't. This was a free-association exercise and these are the words that came to mind. Second, you're English , so you're coming to this discussion from a fundamentally different perspective than me. I'm American, so I've experienced a different "black culture" than you. In any case, don't ask for honest input and then get angry over what you receive. That's just intellectual dishonesty.
- +1 y
It's not intellectual dishonesty. Also, how am I to know that you were American huh? I understand that we have both experienced different black culture but do excuse me for my ignorance. Why and how in the world does my response sound 'angry'? I was stating facts, don't be so damn emotional.
Opinion Owner+1 yUh, your reaction was much more emotional than anything I wrote. You didn't like my response--which was understandable--but then you had to scold me and make it into some kind of personal thing. I don't know you or your family, so how could I be making a personal attack on you? Black people just seem to search out offense.
Opinion Owner+1 yNo, I live in a city that's about 25% black (Houston), so I have lots of dealings with black people. Some are nice, but most have a out-of-my-way attitude that's very off-putting. I see a lot of black posters decrying stereotypes, but here's the thing: stereotypes don't come from nowhere. There's usually a kernel of truth at the core of these things. The Angry Black Woman persists because it's something people encounter, not because people are just racist cretins with ulterior motives.

Is that your view on all black females?
Opinion Owner+1 yNo thankfully not all of them. I'll say maybe up to half though.
- +1 y
Well, that shouldn't be your view on half of them, you dont know them lol. Also, don't say that, everyone is beautiful in their own ways, so just can't see it. You're just blinded by society expectations.
Opinion Owner+1 yWell she is definitely ugly to me but not everyone has to agree.
- +1 y
Someone, somewhere may find her beautiful.

Lol, but are all black girls hoodrats? Because i'm far from that. I live in Kensington Chelsea, England, I'm a straight A/A* student, my parents are pretty well off. All my siblings (6) have attended Harvard, Cambridge and Oxford University. Not all black people/girls are like that.
- +1 y
You're awful young to have attended multiple universities.
- +1 y
If you re-read what I said, you would come to a clear understanding that I said all my siblings attended universities. 6 to be exact and of which 4 are female. Read before you reply ahaha
