Ireland and Scotland have the largest "percentage" of redheads in their population. However, the US has the largest "population" of redheads.

Ireland and Scotland combined have a redhead population of roughly 720,000 however the US redhead population is believed to be between 6-18 million, which is the largest in the world. However, this 6-18 million is a needle in a haystack due to the US large population and large land size.

In absolute numbers it's the United States, relative to population size it's Ireland, followed by Scotland/Northern Ireland.

No, but the US has, by far, the largest population of white people on the planet and many of those are descendants of Irish and Scottish immigrants. So it's a reasonable guess they have the most redheads.

Technically speaking, India also has mostly Caucasian population, much larger than USA, but most people think Indians are "not white". Of course, they are not redheads, that's why I think America has the advantage, though, I think Australia has higher percentage of people who are descendants of Irish, Scottish and other Celtic immigrants.

Yeah, there's (almost) no Indian redheads and Australian may have a larger percentage of redheads but its total population is very small compared to the US. The US has 320 million people, the next "white" countries are Russia (140 million) and Germany (80 million), it's a huge gap.

Yep, that' true, but USA also has large amount of Afro-Americans, Latinos, Asians and Native Americans, none of them are redhead... on the other hand, Russia is mostly Slavic, Germany is Germanic, wouldn't they be more obvious candidates for the countries with the most redheads in the world?

Russia has many people of Asian descent, Germany has many people of Middle-Eastern descent...

Well, I think you are right, when I think about it more clearly, most Russians and Germans are blonde, it's quite possible that USA has the largest number of redheads.

i think most of the redheads are in Canada because it's a big country with lots of people of Celtic descent (Irish, Scottish, Welsh) in most of the Canadian cities.

Probably Australia, it's the largest and most populated country with high percentage of redheads. Canada is most likely the close second, although it's larger, but they have much less redheads.
