Can wasp stings raise your white blood cell count?

So during the summer I was stung at least twice within an hour period on time the first one might have gotten me twice. I'm not allergic thank god bubba Allah who ever is out there. White blood cell count increases when your body fights off infection or what it perceives to be infection. Your body likely started fighting off the stings, and two in one day probably made the count surge.

Hi just checking in on this to see if there was ever any other issue with your WBC count?
I recently got stung by about 10 yellow jackets (on a Sunday) and had a blood test done on Tuesday morning, within 48 hours. My white blood cell count was elevated and I'm concerned. I got the test retaken and haven't looked at the results yet. A couple of medical professionals told me it's possible. Any additional details about your experience would be helpful!
