My teacher embarrassed me in front of my crush and class?

So basically today I wanted to look really nice and so I put on more makeup than I normally would. ( I really love makeup ) and so I had like eyeliner on (only difference in my makeup) and I went up to my teacher for some help and she shouted so loud "HOW MUCH MAKEUP ARE YOU WEARING?" And I just felt blood instantly race up to my face and I wanted to smack her right there XD. But yeah then I didn't say anything and just looked at her angrily and then she said "Why are you wearing so much" and then I just stuttered and said "well I wanted too" and she said "tomorrow wear less please" and when she shouted the whole class went silent and my crush is in my class. I'm mostly embarrassed about what she said and how stupid I then looked. Also at the end of the day makeup doesn't at all ruin our education and I really wanna do makeup when I'm older. Do you think girls should be able to wear as much makeup as she wants in and out of school? I hate that brat of a teacher, wanna report her.

This entire incident is purely based on individuals perspective on what is too much. You feel it wasn't, maybe the teacher thought before was way too much and this day you crossed the line and she thought tomorrow it would even be more.

Personally, for me, makeup can enhance, but too many women use it to change and alter rather than just enhance what they already have.

I prefer little to no makeup on a woman. But some can look very good. Oh, and your crush has no clue.

When I was in high school there was this girl I liked a lot. I was at the teachers desk getting an assignment and he asked the girl I liked for her number (he was also the vball coach and she was on vball team) so I started to scribble on paper and figured I would scribble her number as she said it.

The teacher shouted "are you writing her number doen?" "You are!!" I do believe I went a few more shades of red than you did and I never asked her out after that!

i think you should report your teacher to administration. that is almost like bullying from a teacher. unless the school dress code says otherwise you can wear as much or little makeup as you want. certainly isn't a teacher's place to publicly humiliate you. if she was truly concerned she could have quietly brought up the issue to you

Yeah exactly!! And she didn't have to shout it and do it in front of everyone. She could of told me nicely and privately. This teacher is known to be quite a bitchy teacher

Teachers are supposed to educate their pupils. Learning them when they overdo something is part of that.

@jacquesvol yeah but public humiliation is not. privately pulling a student aside and talking to them about the effects of wearing too much makeup can be a great learning moment. but publicly humiliating them is not responsible teaching in my opinion

Teachers also need to limit their bad attitude and longer their patience. That makes the students lost their motivation in studying and going to school. Sometimes, girls you age are so anxious to prove that they can master makeup that they really do put on excessive amounts and it looks awful. Your teacher should have been more tactful but complaining about her will not get you anywhere. Have you spent time with someone older learning how to apply makeup?

Yeah I can apply it fine my mum taught me everything and she said I'm really good

If you have friends (male or female) in that class then I suggest getting together and head to the administrator's office to report her. And have your friends be your backup. Your witnesses. I consider that act by your teacher as "Bullying" about your looks. It's kinda normal to have students say things like that, but teachers? She should be at least suspended for some time. Do some research on how to report teachers and follow the process. You will be more likely to succeed if you know what you're doing.

Being a teacher myself, I wouldn't deal with the situation the way she did. First, student's personal style is none of my business. Second, if I believed too much makeup would hurt your skin, I would have talked to you in private. And shouting was definitely out of line.
