Can I skate on cobblestone?

I'm thinking about buying a skateboard because I rlly wanna try it. I've never done this before. Problem is that where I live isn't a skate park or many streets with smooth surfaces. The street near my house is a cobblestone paseo (but there barely walk ppl). Question: can I skate on this surface well on a skateboard? I mean actually I don't have any other choices. I can't like... move 😅😉

try to find some regular streets to skate on.

where do you live hahaha. okay well it also depends what kind of wheels you're getting. if you get rubber, you'll be going fast but you can handle cobblestone a lot better than standard wheels. But another thing, most boards with rubber wheels are mainly used to cruise, they aren't really trick boards. You can still do tricks on them if you're skilled.

i guess my board will have standard wheels. are tricks more difficult to do with rubber wheels?

Just my own opinion, I'd say yeah it's a bit more difficult to do with rubber wheels. who knows though that shit might come naturally for you lol.

any beginner board, because who knows if you'll actually like skateboarding. If you wanna do tricks, get standard wheels. if you kinda just wanna use it to cruise around and go places, get rubber. as for what kind of board to get? I don't know, since i recommend a cheap beginners board, brand shouldn't really matter but Santa Cruz is what I ride. it's solid and smooth.

No. With a good longboard you probably could though. If you're interested in just cruising I'd go with a longboard.

No. That would be a disaster and the first time you wiped out if you could even get enough speed on cobblestone you would be angry.

Yeah! Its the reason I never got into skateboarding. My road growing up wasn't smooth at all and my parents have a brick driveway. I had a skateboard but it felt like crap so I gave it up.

Well... you CAN skate on just about anything, but it won't work very well without solid concrete. :D
