I don't understand this stereotype. I have extended family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) from Canada, since my mother was born and raised in Canada, though she has moved to the U. S. before I was born and has American citizenship now. Whenever I go up to visit them from the U. S. (where I'm from), they don't seem any nicer (or less nice). In fact, I find most Canadians to be nearly indistinguishable from Americans (except for French-Canadians). However, I spent most of my time in Nova Scotia (where my extended family live), so maybe I've dealt with an unrepresentative sample of Canadians.

Don't even get me started on the Quebecers. They're rude as hell! They're even worse than New Yorkers (I'm from New Jersey, so I know a thing or two about New Yorkers).
