Why has cartoon art quality decline so much?

If you look at the quality of cartoons in the 90s and 2000s compared to now. The cartoons now look half assed lazy art. Pretty soon cartoons will be nothing but stick figures.

can you give examples. I know cartoons have much more simpler shapes and color schemes and less detail on the character and etc. I think of Amazing world of gumball and Adventure time.

Teen titans go, Ben 10, Rick and morty ( great show, basic ass animation.) etc.

definitely use of animations a lot more compared to old drawings. even ed edd n eddy had basic ass looks.

I think it's more of the style of shows lately. lately these shows have a smooth clean cut with bright appealing color schemes. Adventure time and Rick and morty and other shows.

it also depends on what you consider basic. I don't consider spongebob basic.

If you want cinematography in your entertainment you're probably better off with movies and expensive anime
