Why is dangerous to go to a cinema alone?

My mother once told me"I don't let you go to a cinema alone. It's dangerous"?
Why? Can someone explain me? I'm just curious

At day time it's not very dangerous going to the cinema alone. There's very few perpetrator doing their things in day time and there's a lot of people around you, so it's not so unsafe. In addition cinema violence is very rare. But in night time and late evening it's lesser safe because at that time there's more drunk people in the streets and criminals wants to do more at that time since there's fewer people outside that makes it less likely to be discovered for their crime.

But your mother probably don't want you to go alone because you're under 18 years old and she wants to protect you from danger. It's a typically parent thing.

I thinks traffic accidents can happen anyway if you goes alone or with someone. But it's more likely someone would warn you if a car is going to bump into you if you've a friend with you.

Cinemas are now being used by predators and sick people that prey on kids that are alone. There is a very scary case in my town where a cute girl of 15 years of age totally disappeared while going to the movies. Nobody knows where she is but I think I know what happened. NEVER go alone to a place where everyone is facing a bright screen and is completely dark. That's just asking to be attack.

It is if you're young. If you're young and female, it's dangerous to go almost anywhere alone. People sometimes take advantage of the more vulnerable.

It seems extremely rare, but I'd assume because of fearing creepy dudes doing things. Thing is, women shouldn't be any more afraid of the world and dangerous situations when alone as men. Men make up almost as much rape cases as woman, but way more violent assaults, muggings, and murders. Whether you are male or female, going anywhere alone is a risk. Learn self defense, or bring a weapon/spray to use in ONLY self defense.

I can't see it any more dangerous than going anywhere alone in general. Maybe she means it so you don't have some guy trying to hit on you in the middle of the movie or something

Some theatre needs you to leave by a backdoor, in a dark avenue.
If that's the case, yes, a girl your age would be a potential prey. . .
If it's in plain daylight, it's another matter.
