Why do teenagers nowadays look older than their age? Do you agree?

i don't know if i agree. i tend to feel like all teenagers appear older than they are

i think things like make-up make people look more mature. there's a lot of research that shows the added hormones in meat and dairy products contribute to faster physical development as well

but i also feel like with or without makeup as i've gotten older i've almost always felt like teens looked older than they are

Some do more than others. But I think it's just the evolution of us as humans. Also the wanting to grow up fast thinking being a grown up is cool.

Make up and they wore clothing that an adult would wear. When I was in high school I wore sweat, hoodie, crew neck shirt, sneakers, etc..
And most girls wore blouse, skinny jeans, tight skirt, heels, (fancy women clothing). So people always think I was a freshman in high school while for my friend people always though they were in their 19 (because they wore adult clothing).

I agree. I'm only 24 and everyone thinks I'm like 17. My 18 year old cousin acts and looks like she's my age. l but she also has better fashion sense than me and wears a ton more make up than I do.

yeah.. because they wanna look older.. girls who are 13/14 dress up to look like girls who are 18-20, they wear makeup and dress the way they think would make them look older

Heavy makeup makes 14-28 year olds look similar. (Not identical).

Agreed 100%.. Most common reason is cigarettes and weed at young age and also a usual mentality of teens to try to look older then they r infused with current fashion trends.

Yeah! I think more makeup & beauty options are on the market nowadays alerting someone's age. Also the clothing is more revealing than what I wore growing up
