Is I safe to spray raid in the back of a refrigerator?

My house is seriously infested with roaches, but my mom ignores the problem and refuses to call an exterminator. I don't leave my bedroom, so I bought a can of raid roach spray to kill off the nasty fucks in my room. I have a mini fridge and they're nesting in the back where the wires are. Could I spray that directly or would it mess up the wires? Could I spray a piece of paper and set it under the wires so the spray doesn't directly touch the wires but still reaches the bugs?

Spray around and on the plastic bit but avoid the wires in my opinion. To spray paper and put it under the wires is smart, just make sure it is dry and the wires don't get hot bc even though the chance is small, the raid is flammable.
Also, try natural remedies.
There is a flea spray that works realllly well, my roommate got it when our dog got fleas. It kills all fleas in like 15 minutes, it may work for fleas. The can was one you have to turn upside down and spray.

I was going to have it unplugged so no fires or electrocution happened. Our roach problem is insane. Like you walk into the kitchen at night and our white tile looks like it's brown. I can't believe how I'm the only one with an issue with it, but I guess my family is just disgusting. I've tried so many natural remedies, from boiling cat nip and spraying it everywhere, to using garlic and garlic chunks, and even making the house really cold while we left for a few days. Nothing has worked, but I can't afford an exterminator or bombs myself, Pou I have a lot of pets so I'd have to find a way to relocate them to get an exterminator or bombs. I think I'll try the paper thing though, thank you!

There is food poison you can buy for them, it will kill them-see if you can get your hands on that.
I really wish you the best of luck, your fam should try. Roaches can carry diseases, it's for everyone's best interest to resolve the issue.

unplug it first and wait a while before you turn it on again. electrics and liquids dont go well together

I was planning on u plugging it and keeping it off for a few days so it could dry, but I'm afraid just the water touching the wires could mess it up. I just can't stand bugs, especially roaches, and they make my asthma so much worse. 😭

there are very few, if any actual bare wires you could affect but what about powder or a fly paper rather than using any liquid spray in the first place.

We tried both already, but the problem is so out of control that even killing off the few nests there are doesn't even make a dent. We tried baits, that boric acid powder stuff, and even natural remedies. I even stuffed fly paper in every crack, and they caught tons of bugs but hundreds more still ran around.

i doubt raid will have much impact either then. you may need to get the professionals in? do you rent? its the landlords responsibility or if you own it can't you claim on house insurance?

We rent, but honestly our landlord won't do anything. He's on drugs and pretty much out of his mind at this point. He once came over to fix our heater and threatened to evict us for our "dog", which was actually a very small kitten, who we already paid a deposit on lmao.
