I've even done it in a language I don't speak properly, with a lot of rehearsal and practice beforehand, so I'd say pretty confident.
I had the people I'd been addressing asking me questions in that language, so I must have come off as at least OK.
The thing is, though - you can seem confident, and comfortable with doing it, when you might not be feeling that way inside. Don't assume that everybody who makes it seem so easy, actually is feeling that way themselves.
If you don't feel you can, that's not unusual. But I'm sure you've got it within you, too.

Before it I'll feel like I'm dying, but once I get up there and start talking I'm pretty much fine and actually pretty good at it.
If it's a large group of people I know it's harder than a group of people I don't know. When I'm about to start speaking I'm really nervous, but once I'm talking I feel confident about everything I want to say about my topic. I think it's harder in front of people I know because they might see me differently afterwards.
Provided you know your subject, should not be a problem. That is what I have found.
Comfortable in front of strangers terrified in front of people i know

I am decent at it if I have rehearsed it a couple times so I practically know everything I'm going to say on top of my head. But I'm not comfortable at it at all, even though people say I seemed confident.
I'd much rather just write rather than speaking, since I excel in writing. Unfortunately, that never happens.I don't mind. I used to teach and before that I was an NCO in the Marine Corps. Taking charge of a group of people is not a new experience for me at this point. and if it's a topic I am passionate about I can talk about it all day
I had to read 10 words of a mark twain quote to a class of 15-20. Choked up by word 8 and nearly passed out because I forgot to breath or swallow. REALLY looking forward to graduating into an isolated job😂
Actually I'm not, although I've done it many times and have been complimented that I appear as a very confident speaker.
Inside I'm usually nervous as hell, but I can control it outwardly because I've been trained to do so.Depends on the size, anywhere up to about 300 (that's the size of my school) I'm okay with, once there's significantly more than that I'm done lol
it depends on how fdamilisr I am with the material and how much prep time I have had but in general I feel pretty ok about it
Can't amd won't do it...
My anxiety is really bad, can't handle big social enviroments...Not comfortable at all. I give Bernie Sanders all the credit in the world
for being able to speak in large groups of people.More comfortable than many, not as comfortable as some.
I thought I was until I had to do it and spaghetti flew out of my pants
Im more comfortable in large groups than small groups.
It depends. I can't speak in a class in front of friends but, I'll manage in front of a big crowd.
I just treat them as like im talking to two people lol
No one is ever comfortable, focus on what you have to say. Speaking about something is easier. Thank god you don't have to do stand up
Well it's not something I like doing because I always feel as if I'd mess up what to say.
Pretty comfortable, actually. Doing so tomorrow in fact.
I'm usually terrified before I actually say something, but once I start talking, I'm good.
I actually would be terrified and can't speak
