A list of some of the things she suffered, in the 44 days after she got kidnapped and before she got murdered:
-Humiliated by being kept naked most of the time. Frequently, in order to turn her rapists on, she was forced to masturbate in front of them and/or their guests.
-Raped every day, vaginal and anal. More than 100 men are believed to have raped her – the main kidnapper, who she'd rejected at school, had Yakuza connections and invited other Yakuza members to "have a go at a 16yo".

-The 100 men who are believed to have raped her also enjoyed urinating on her. Estimated to have been raped 500+ times, raped by 12 different men on one day.
-Endured physical beatings, including hits with golf clubs and bashing of face against cement floor. Had various objects forced into her vagina and anus, including a bottle, an iron bar, scissors, roasting needles, grilled chicken skewers, etc.
-Was denied food & water; forced to eat live cockroaches and drink her own urine...

I can't think of any, being physically tortured is horrible enough, but they also mentally tortured her and degraded her. It would take me a bit yo try to think of anything as bad. Poor girl

And the four main culprits only got an average sentence of 10 years each. With neither the boy's parents whose property these atrocities were all carried out inside, nor any of the hundred or so Yakuza members who raped and tortured her, facing any charges or suffering any repercussions at all. The longest sentence was 20 years, for the leader of the group who orchestrated it all as payback against the girl for rejecting his request to go out with her at school, and he was released 10 years ago, with full anonymity and a new life. It's not just what they did to her, but how pitifully short the sentences they faced for doing all of that were.

Oh absolutely, they were so young when they did it that they have full capability to go out start a new life, marry and have kids if they choose, it isn't right at all. I can't imagine what that girls parents are going through knowing that.

Indeed. One of the four boys, who was only sentenced to 7 years for his part in Junko Furata's brutal rape-murder, after getting released, got handed another 7yr prison sentence in July 2004. What for? Merely for beating up a guy who he thought was stalking his girlfriend. The exact same person, handed the exact same sentence, for that. Imagine what the girls' parents thought about that...
