Thoughts on kids who murder?

Kids aren’t so stupid as to not know right from wrong. They know stealing, lying, cheating, cursing, and the rest are wrong. The have the capacity to understand killing is a grave sin. The issue is how their upbringing has an effect. Usually terrible parenting. How young they are matters. A 12 yr old killing is a lot different from a 17 year old.

We wouldn’t execute a mentally I’ll person regardless of their age. They go to the loony house, from what I’ve heard is worse than regular prison.

2nd try as adult

Some would there was a case there these 2 12 year olds girls murdered a 9 year old girl because supposedly slender man told them to do it

Kids are not as innocent as some like to make them out to be. Those with the predisposition…. They truly give you shivers.

I agree that horrible parents will raise creepy kids which is why I chose the pull out method.

But that means putting the kid in a better environment would help the kid. You think they’re born evil?

because the word is not "undeveloped" but under-developed, and yes... psychos do have a few under-developed areas in their brains, mostly the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC) and the amygdala connections, and couple of other things

now, when you go about killers... psychos can kill, mentally unstable people can kill, "regular" people can kill too

good people can also kill under some circumstances if they have to

the idea that "all kids are innocent and not capable of heinous" is just a romantic one

I see what you're saying…. and in some cases neuroanatomy shows brain injury can cause psychopathy but thats not even the majority of violent criminals.

Research is pretty settled (not “set”, could still change) that people can be born with psychopathic tendencies but raised lovingly thus never indulge in crime…or that some psychopaths are nurtured through abuse and really bad parenting.

I don't care, that doesn't give them a license to kill. I was a kid once too and I knew murder was wrong.
