Teen Driving 151 MPH, Killing 6, is Sentenced

A Florida man has been sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison for causing a fatal accident that resulted in the death of six people. Noah Galle, who was 17 at the time of the incident, was driving at a speed of 151 mph when he crashed into a vehicle carrying six passengers on State Road 7 near Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.

The arrest affidavit revealed that Galle was driving his 2019 BMW5 at an excessive speed when he collided with a Nissan Rogue. The occupants of the Nissan were leaving a farm and were traveling at a normal speed on SR 7. The impact of the collision caused the Nissan to leave the road, flip over, and come to a halt upside down. The rear of the Nissan was severely damaged, with the backseat crushed into the back of the vehicle.

Emergency medical personnel pronounced five of the six occupants of the Nissan dead at the scene. The sixth victim succumbed to their injuries at a hospital. Galle, the sole occupant of his vehicle, sustained an ankle injury.

While treating Galle at the scene, police and paramedics noted that he was slurring his speech and smelled of alcohol. However, no alcohol was found in his system. Galle was charged with six counts of vehicular homicide, with each count carrying a potential sentence of up to 15 years in prison.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Galle had a history of reckless driving. He had social media accounts on TikTok and Instagram where he posted videos of himself driving at high speeds.
As part of a plea deal, Galle pleaded guilty to six counts of vehicular homicide and agreed to a prison sentence of 12.5 years. Upon his release, he will be on probation for seven years. Despite the severity of the crime, the victims’ families did not object to the length of the sentence. Some family members even expressed that they did not want Galle to serve any jail time.

That's way to fast to be driving on 441. The speed limit is 55 mph, but normal traffic out there is usually traveling at anywhere from 65 to 80 mph. 151 mph is nuts for that road. If you want to go over 100 get on I-95. The left most lane of I-95 has people going 100-120 mph often enough. Shit there is even a Palm Beach County Sheriff substation right out there on 441 in Delray off of Clint Moore a couple miles from where he crashed. He was asking to get arrested. Everyone slows down to like 60 in that area. I use to drive that road every day home from work.

Maybe he was forgiven because of the fact that he is also a teenager but why did he have such an expensive car at his age that could go that fast? Even though he was speeding, it wasn’t intentional to kill people so I guess that’s why he didn’t get more years than he did

What he did was so unconscionable that I would have to leave it up to God to punish him for what he did.
I have the gift of forgiveness but I don't think that I would be able to forgive him because he did it on purpose!!

Yeah, I handle horrible accidents regularly and the amount of reckless driving I see infuriates me. This isn't justice, he should have a minimum mandatory of 30+ years. He killed six people, this sentence is a sham. He must have retained a top law firm and a weak prosecutor.

At age 17, if he was driving a BMW5, his parents are obviously rich and probably influential. He's a spoiled kid.
No doubt his parents hired the best legal team and influenced the DA to offer a plea deal.
If his case had gone to trial, a jury would have found him guilty and he would have received a much harsher sentence.

Forgiveness is not for the other person. Forgiving them allows you to heal. It allows to not get upset or angry every time the thought comes up. It is for the mental health of you not them. For as long as you have unforgivingness you have anger, resentment and all of those things that harms your mental health. It is like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies from it.

12 and a half year means he will be out in 5 years. His victims will still be in the ground. It is totally inappropriate. I would want the guy to do 20 years hard time.

Sentencing is not going to bring the dead back. But the crime deserves a reasonable punishment.
