Why are short girls considered more attractive than tall girls?

I'm a tall girl and I always feel bad about being tall... I always wish I was shorter, i so wish there was a way to change my height. because of my height I have a super long torso and long skinny legs which don't look good in my opinion. and guys seem to like short girls and short girls like tall guys. i have tried pursuing short guys about 5'4-5'7 but none of them wanted a girl taller than them.
Are there any other reasons why we are considered less attractive? also is it true that short girls are more feminine and have more estrogen?

I personally think it has to do with the simple fact that smaller women look more "protectable".
The bigger you are, the more self-sufficient you look.

A short woman seems like someone who would benefit from a man's protection.
A woman who is as tall as the man, or even taller than him, looks like someone who wouldn't benefit a whole lot from the man because she is probably about as "strong" as he is.

I would think the evolution wants us to benefit from each other, ideally by pairing us in the most complementary way possible.
Which in this case would mean pairing smaller women with bigger men.

I personally find long skinny legs to look great, although I would definitely suffer some internal struggle fancying a woman if she was 5'11 or taller.
I find it curious why you would try to pursue short guys, though.
I don't know how tall you are, but I assume 5'4 and 5'7 guys would be a lot shorter than you, no?

There is nothing wrong with pursuing a short man, but that much of a reverse size difference is bound to be a problem for a lot of people.

I know a lot of people who wouldn't be ok with the reverse size difference.
I know women who proclaim that men who are shorter than them are "disgusting" and that they would never date one.
I even heard cases of tall women walking out on their dates because they didn't realize that their date was shorter.
So, I imagine, people are cautious when it comes to height differences, and it will take some patience.

I'm only 5'9, so admittedly, I would never go after a 6ft tall woman, simply because I would automatically assume that they would prefer someone taller.
That is why I would suffer a struggle.
Because said 6ft person is still attractive and still has an attractive personality, but what if my height is a total deal-breaker for them?

A lot if men find it intimidating when a woman is taller than them. It scares away some guys. Sadly society indirectly puts a lot of pressure on the man having to be taller than the woman. Don't worry about skinny legs or a long torso, don't see any problem with it. In other words, it's not about being less attractive. I don't think you got what I ment by that, but I didn't explain that well either. By that I was trying to say that it is not you personally, there is no reason to be insecure about who you are, what you look like. Instead, focus on being the best version of yourself and don't worry about looks or appearance, as long as you look after yourself. 'The good guys' who aren't superficial will then come to you and they won't care much for how tall you are. People who turn away from you because of your height are not worth it. Those are people that can't make an own opinion and stay away because they are scared of what society or other people have to say.

In other words, no reason to be insecure.

I don't really know what to say. i mean shorter girl have better proportions, they can wear 4-5 inch heels if they wanna look tall or have long legs and then take them off and look short again. they are seen as cuter and more adorable. they have smaller hands, And feet which also look cute. in general they have everything that makes them more attractive.

On the internet could mean a lot of things. I haven't seen many verifiable studies of that but either way. The hormone levels doesn't automatically reflect personality or beauty.
They influence feminine vs masculine traits, but they don't dictate them. I mean, I know shortly girls who are extremely masculine and lesbian, I know tall ones who are feminine and bi. So in general, it effects but doesn't decide anything.

There are a lot of guys who still prefer taller girls, so don't worry about it. If you have problem with dresses, maybe try getting a custom made dress that would look perfect on you. Well long dresses on me look like midi dress and are always a bit shorter. plus jeans also look shorter on me and I have to order them extra tall or have to compromise and look heavier by getting a bigger size jeans so they can be taller on my legs.
