Invest half in the bank and properties then live off the interest and rent income. Donate a quarter to charity, hospitals and medical research. Split the last quarter between all my family members so they can pay off debts and have some financial security.

Move to Vancouver.
Buy a stupid amount of land somewhere around Belcarra so that I don't have to be reminded of other people's existence.
And live there with my army of cats.
Probably build a pier and buy a stupidly expensive yacht on which I could travel the world if I felt like it.

All of the above. Really a billion dollars is a shit load of money. I'd give some to all I care for. Clear all of mine and family/friend's debt. Dream home in the places I love traveling to the most. Cabin out in the mountains as well. Nice motorbike and car. Then, put into savings/investments, setup a nice sizable nest egg for my kids and just sit back and be happy. Like how the fuck can people with millions be so unhappy is beyond me.

Put most of into a hedge fund and let someone smarter than me invest it. Spend around 300m on myself and family making sure everyone has a very comfortable, paid for home (to hand down too). Cash gifts to various people... The I’ll take up a job as an airline pilot 😎

I might invest a little bit in some cool startup companies. Not to make profit or anythimg but just to help them out and help them create innovative shit that can help mankind.

Other than that I'd mostly just buy a few nice houses and apartments around the world and live an easy life moving between these few spots and doing stuff I enjoy without having to ever work a bs job.

I would spend some and save some (for being able to live without ever working again) but I would not invest it since I know nothing about it.
