I think for me the worst, most malicious thing I've ever done was long ago when I was a boy in Singapore. We had a maid that my father hired from the Philippines.
And she lied on her resume saying she didn't have any children, knew how to do all sorts of things. When she came over to work it turns out she did have children, didn't understand things like how to use a water heater, etc. On top of that she used long distance calls to call her children and husband running up an astronomical phone bill.
My father complained about this a lot and, as a boy, I was influenced and thought she must be a very bad person. So any empathy I might have had otherwise was shot and I hated her and treated her badly, said mean things to her, made fun of her for struggling to do basic things. I was a spoiled brat and a bully at the time.
Then I caught her one time crying in her room with a picture of her children and it just hit me that I was the villain in this scenario, not her. I've since never held such malicious thoughts.110 Reply- +1 y
o god, wow.

u can't really blame urself though, as a kid you don't really question your parents actions and just think of them as all knowing and god
- +1 y
*good
- +1 y
Maybe so. I've learned to somewhat forgive myself for that reason, but the impact of my actions still likely lingered. I can't take back the damage I did. It did teach me to empathize with a wider range of people, even those considered bad people like criminals. I figure if I'm capable of having this dark and malicious side of me, then perhaps the people who we deem as bad people might have had the same problem fueled by misunderstanding and the way they were raised. That's not to suggest whatsoever that I'm always some gentle type seeking to be kind to everyone regardless, sometimes we need to be firm and punish and correct those who do wrong. But I've learned largely not to do that coming from a source of malice and hatred.
It's still the worst and most evil kind of phase in my life though. If I could go back in time, I'd have a serious talk with that spoiled brat that I was. :-D - +1 y
how old were u?
- +1 y
I believe I was 10-years old at the time. I spent the age of 10-12 in Singapore, and she was the first maid. My father fired her before I could really reconcile things with her. It was actually on the day she was fired that I caught her crying that way and felt so guilty and bad. I never apologized either which made it worse.
- +1 y
I'm still kind of an asshole though but more in the jackass kind of way, having maybe too fun sometimes while irritating other people. :-D But I'm no longer the kind of asshole that seeks deliberately to make other people suffer. That one experience kind of wiped away that side of me that saw everything as black and white, good vs evil, that sort of thing.
- +1 y
well, personal growth yay? !
- +1 y
Something like that. :-D I still wish I could take back that sort of thing. Problem is that I never got her contact. I didn't even know her last name. She went by "Evangeline" as her name and she returned to the Philippines after my father fired her. I've since come to view people though in a different light. I wish these lessons I had in life didn't have to come at the cost of other people's suffering.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yOMG I have so many xD When I was younger, I fed off of others annoyance of me. I got a thrill from it. I would always bother people, mock people, joke around or poke fun. I wouldn't stop even if they told me to. I had no boundaries.
I'm not annoying anymore because I'm more reserved these days. But I can definitely still joke around. But now I know when to stop and start. wbu?15 Reply- +1 y

when i was around 12 i had an online friend in america, and she was going through a really hard time and i was so insensitive oml, id like ignore her completely as soon as she started talking about her issues, like just leave the chat, bc i had the tiniest attention span back then and would get bored. gah. gah. gahhhhhhhh.
Opinion Owner+1 yIt's been so long. But I used to sit outside my sister's room and constantly do little things like bang on their door, go in and steal stuff, throw things, mock them if they tell me to stop. You know, little kid shit. xD

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yWalking by homeless people and feeling bad but not bad enough to help them out. I one did give money but then thought if i end up homeless some day I'm going to want that £20 and then regretted helping them encase that ever happens.
Not letting people out then waving to say thank you for waiting as if they intended to wait for me ie if they start pulling out of a space and i move further left to avoid them and carry on not letting them out till I'm past as i don't want to wait or positioning my self so it's hard for them to pull in in front of me.
Letting someone I sleeped with take all the responsibility after she asked me to open the window in the morning and told me to just push harder when it didn't open but i didn't realize you where suppose to lift it and she was saying push so i pushed to hard and the frame was old and just sort of warped out of shape and broke. She said it was her fault and she would deal with it but I felt it was mostly my fault yet just let her take all the responsibility for it.11 Reply- +1 y
weirdly specific, not the worst we've seen all day, thanks for sharing!
+1 yOften I do something assholy and then I feel bad about it for a few days, weeks, even a couple months. Then I forget about it for a couple days til I do something worse. At the moment I can't think of the worst thing I've done/said, because I do a lot of things irrationally. Most of the time I get hotheaded while doing school or another committed activity with someone, and if the other person doesn't cooperate with me I can lose my sh^t for a moment and say something regretful.
Some of the worse things I've said are directed at my mum, and I feel terrible for ever being angry with her sense she's done so much to raise me and make me who I am today.
But as a human, I do a lot of things I regret. (Like last night I hung out with my best friend and I had a new ring on that I bought and asked him if he liked it, he said "you married?" [joke] and I said "no, I bought it" then that night I was mad at myself for NOT saying "Why? Jealous?" cause that totally could of turned into a moment if I did that and now i'll forever be curious how different things could've went if I said something differently :( cri )00 Reply1.9K opinions shared on Other topic. I got into a fight with another kid when I was having fun with a friend in playground using one of the machines that could only accommodate 2 people and he wanted to get on even though we had just gotten to it as well, so I told him to piss off and wait. He tried to push me off it, but failed, so I jumped off and attacked him. He went down crying after a couple of punches and I was still pissed so I just started insulting him, by saying basically this: "This is why I'm better than you, you are a weak, short, fat, stupid loser who can't fight for shit and starts crying for mommy like a wimp the moment things get tough. You'll never be anything more than garbage in life." He was sobbing loudly the entire time and me and my friend walked off and as I did I stepped on his hand for good measure.

+1 yI abruptly lost a friend about a year and a half ago when I told him I thought his view on a movie we just saw was incredibly pretentious (even though we both didn't like it) in front of a group of my own friends he didn't know so well. He always had a tendency to cause arguments over things so I kind of got fed up, but I admitted to myself later how insensitive it was to say that in that kind of a setting. I haven't heard from him since, and I'm thinking of sending him an apology and letting him know I've really been trying to rid that kind of behaviour from my personality, since I held my ground when he left.
Not the worst thing ever, I know, but I don't really have much assholery inside me.10 ReplyI was in a really bad mood and hadn't slept well for a few days cause of finals week so when someone stopped me to ask for something can't recall what it was. I threw my bag on the ground and emptied all its contents at the feet of the person then asked them if she found what she was looking for. I really regret it.

+1 yI was a little over 10 years old. My older brother had problems with dealing with his anger. He was about 5 years older than me.
I remember him arguing with my mom and having a mental breakdown to the point where he began jumping up and down and waving his arms in sync with his furious chanting. It was a temper tantrum, but it was almost almost like a dance. I drew the position his arms and legs were in and showed it to my family and I called it "the angry dance."
Looking back I don't know what I was thinking when I drew it, but my younger brother found it funny, so I showed it to everyone in the family. My brother was obviously bitter that he was the butt of his 10 year old brothers joke when he was going through shit. The joke lasted for about a year and made its returns once in w while until everyone forgot about it.
It was SUCH a dick move on my part but my older brother (over time) found it funny with a grain of salt.10 Reply- 7.2K opinions shared on Other topic.
+1 yI don’t know, there’s a long list to choose from. I’ll go with a recent one I guess
So I matched with this girl on Tinder, and on her profile was a list of maybe 10 or 12 random facts, one of which was I’m transgender and below said “Guess which are true”
So I sent her a message, and one of my guesses was transgender.
Apparently that was the wrong answer12 Reply- +1 y
