The future. For one, because I'm way too curious not to find out what new discoveries there will be, but also because no matter how much you try to romantisize any given past era, you can't even imagine how much worse humanity was off, the further you go back in time. I mean, you can love 50s music and fashion and what not, but if you're black, that's not gonna help you as a visitor from the future.
There is a lot about time that we don't understand.
I think it's not impossible that we may be able to time travel to the past someday since it happened, and maybe it's still there somehow. But I don't think we will ever be able to travel to the future because it hasn't happened yet.
But then there is that puzzling question... what happens if you travel back in time and commit suicide on the younger you? How could that be? Man that one is a mind blower!
The future would be amazing. Id love to go in that direction. But the future is sort of unpredictable. I could be teleporting 1 million years and earth doesn’t even exist or all humans are wiped clean
So I guess the past I’d go back to the time of the religious dates and see if all of that stuff is true or not Anything else would be a waste lol that’s the THE question everyone has —> but for leisure id jump in during the 60’s

The future looks pretty bleak from what I sense. Total surveillance. Thought police. Being guilty until proved innocent, and being expendable.
If you fart, even quietly, it will be recorded in your second by second personal data file by the world government.
Take me back to the post WW2 days! seems the best time! Most people pulling together. Not the greed of the 21st century!
Typical conspiracy theory rhetoric that Alt Right crybabies like you spew these days whining because you can't be bigoted anymore without backlash and men can't harass women without consequences, of course you'd want to go back to the WW2 era when racism was at it's peak gays were in the closet and women were second class citizens which self hating Alt Right women like you prefer (you probably really want to visit the pre WW2 days before Hitler and your Nazi heroes were brought down).
You make some very good points , I am glad I'm not a 20 something now !! " Being guilty until proved innocent, and being expendable. "... already happens to mainly men !!
@ChantonsLamour Do you look forward to the latest technology of facial recognition AND them being able to detect people through walls? Do you not realise how we are tracked everywhere? Have you read and UNDERSTOOD the small print in Facebook?
I’d rather go to the past, to a couple different decades. *1810’s-Beethoven’s time *1930’s-1970’s All those years for the music genre, dancing styles, dressing style, lifestyle, manners, courtesy, morals, cars. 30’s-40’s for swing dance 50’s- watching movies at the theater in your car 60’s - Flower Power/Hippies time zone 70’s-Disco
I'd visit the past because maybe... just maybe i could help to change some current occurrences that are not too good for our world. Like influencing the creation of an alternative to all types of plastic or the prohibition of aerosol sprays. And you know try to prevent my life from being such a turd.
I wanted to say the past but that just delays the inevitable and carries with it it's own problems.
So the future. Hopefully the government hasn't completely taken our rights away by suppressing free speech, automating all our jobs, raising housing and rent costs, keeping wages stagnant, fighting off war with North Korea, Russia, China... Oh, and the earth possibly falling apart because of climate change. We are fucked people!
Future, obviously. I don't want to die from some disease, which has been already eradicated. Past was less technologically advanced. Therefore I don't want to go there. I want to go to time, when I can leave body behind and exist in machine or something like that. To times, when we have cities on the Moon, Mars declared independence and Venus is about to do the same, Jovian system is already powerhouse in region and we have send probes to another star systems. I've born too early.
Neither, going to the past you would risk changing major events, while going to the future could mess you up psychologically. Not to mention diseases, if you brought any sickness to the past you could kill everyone, because they don't have a cure or the technology to find it. If you go to the future you could potentially die from illnesses that your body isn't built to fight.
But there's a million different life routes you can take when your born but you still take risks... What I mean is... You don't wanna go back to the start now because of fear of messing up... But imagine when you was actually born 17yrs ago... There could of been a future you that went back in time without you realising.. that didn't make you scared to make any life decisions did it? So what difference would it make? Maybe a slightly different outcome? So what? We all gotta risks... Your gonna choose a path from now to your future which is also a unknown path... But your not scared of doing that are you?
I won't allow my affection for the TV Show "Outlander" convince me that the past would be the best visit... BUT I doubt the future of Earth would be able to sustain its high population which would mean I would potentially suffer during either time...
How about I just enjoy what I have now? Don't pressure me into 2 decisions lolol.
There's s few things I'd undo if I could, if I knew those would be the only things thst changed. There's a very important person in my life that I met in a very unlikely way, and if anything at all changed in my past I never would have met her, so for that reason alone I'd probably keep everything the same.
The future, the past is the past, and how do I know I would be changing the past? Maybe if I go back and supposedly change it, I would be doing exactly what was happening all along, even if I get to set it out off course.
Their wouldn't be any way to predict the path of the future events to come (it could be worst, or better), and the new reality created by modifying the future will have it's own problems, so... I rather go to the future, and learn from it.
This is a tough question. There are periods of time in the past I would like to visit but wouldn't want to change anything. Would I go just as an observer? In the future, there wouldn't be that problem. I think I will settle on future because we can study the past, we really can't study the future and it would be interesting to see what predictions come true or how off we end up being.
I'd use the mistakes I made, and tell myself what not to do and see how it affects myself in the present: like not date my exes, study harder, treasure and spend more time with my parents, invest in a few stocks... things like that
I'd rather stay in the present... The past is past, what had happened already happened and made us the people we are now... The future is what is destined to be...
Yeah, I’d go back in the past and try to instill some wisdom into my younger self and try to be more aware of what my dog Abi was doing so maybe I could prevented her death.
I would go to the past. To the origins of every myth and religion. To the end of the dinosaurs, etc. I would bring a hi-def camera, lots of weapons and body armor, too - I'm not stupid XD

@FatherJack Oh please no one is guilty until proven innocent men are just finally being held accountable for their actions.

It's not like every baby that's born ends up with a shitty life in the future anyway... Hardly any do... It's not a huge risk in my opinion

Past for sure!

I've watched enough shows to know you'll always regret going in the past!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOs69l9dragHe said forget the paradox stuff
@somerandomguy197 i'm aware
I love that scene of the show. Eobard's frustration when he realises he's forced to help Barry.
Have you seen Season 5 yet?
@Deathraider Nah I've been lazy on the show since season 4 because I just stopped being interested in it
Yes! The Flash, I gotta thanks that series.
I'd rather stay in the present... The past is past, what had happened already happened and made us the people we are now... The future is what is destined to be...
By us😘
