Those words are not going to make sense to you so let me simplify..
STOP trying to sense moment..
Imagine it as Kinetic Energy stored..
Imagine a bag of rocks thrown at wall..
If you throw bag twice with same force..
But one time bag is closed so it hits like a bag other time the bag is open so rocks hit individually..
The rocks aren't linked body segments when the bag is open yet.
The total force delivered to the wall will be equal mathematically.. In both case

The body segment with high mass has low velocity, and the body segment with low mass gets high velocity.
But since all body segments are connected, they contribute to whole object, which could be at centre of mass and acts on average velocity.

Isn't it the sum of the momentum of each part? Because and 80kg body, even if you consider it as multiple parts, is still a 80kg object, regardless of its sub-parts.
