I knew their music before I had ever heard them back in the day as a teen. I listened to Emperor and they had lots of covers and I didn’t know they were covers until I was already listening for a few years lmao.

Both, it's an ambigram. It's a logo from the metal band Bathory. I just don't know what "batlord" is supposed to mean

It's just a somewhat modified version of the Gregorian font with the H and A modified. It sure was popular around that time. Burzum also used it.
