Why do dark skin women wear wigs?

Every race wear wigs or fake hair😂😂 just look at your celebrities. Most of that hair is either fake or has some extensions in it to make it look more full.
But black women are just now recently getting into really appreciating their natural hair. But for decades, its been indoctrinated into the black community that kinky curly hair is unprofessional and unkept. So in order to even get a job sometimes these women would have to straighten their hair or slap their wig on and go.
And if you don't have kinky curly hair, you don't understand how much work it takes to keep up with it.. That's why black women keep it in braids or something so they don't have to mess with it for a while because its hard work. If you even dare sleep on your hair without tying it up then the next morning is going to be a mess.
And some women use wigs or protective styling such as crochet to grow their hair out to the length that they want it so that they can wear their natural hair. Some women grew up with perms and decided to start all over with their hair and don't want to walk around bald headed so they get their hair done until their hair grows to a certain length. That is what I did and when I want to grow it more, I will keep braided down and keep it moisturized because that is how hair grows. It makes your hair stronger... but if you neglect it then of course its not going to grow. So before you think negatively about this, look into it more and try to understand why this occurs. Sometimes its good and sometimes it bad. I don't think its good to wear fake hair because you are insecure about your hair but thats not the only reason why women do it.
Another example would be wearing fake nails. I have a bad habit of biting my nails and sometimes i wear fake nails to help me to stop biting my real nails so that I can grow my nails longer. But most people think that girls are just insecure and blah blah blah but no. I want to wear my natural nails long but I need to break my habit so wearing fake nails help me until I am able to really stop.

Cause they look hella bomb in wigs. Lol

From what I have seen it is to protect their natural hair. And it is probably so much easier to pin their hair down like they do and throw a wig on then to style their natural hair. Which takes hours again from what I have seen. And there is only so much you can do with their natural hair with style and stuff so they probably do it for a change of look. Whatever reason is a good one..

And dark skinned girls ain't the only ones who wear wigs. Lol.

I've heard many black women say they don't like their natural hair. Also it their natural hair requires much more upkeep and products so maybe it's just easier to wear a wig/weave.
