Why do black girls wear wigs?

Saying their hair won't grow is a myth, and if you believe that then you've just been fooled. To grow that sort of hair requires more effort (due to how shorter it looks), consistency, knowledge, understanding, and responsibility. Most people in general don't want to go through with this.

I know because I've helped women from this background to grow their hair to the point that people think they have fake hair.

So the answer is they are able to grow their own hair, but they either lack the patience, or don't do what's necessary, or don't know what to do.

Since hair is the bodies lowest priority, you need a healthy body, as free of toxins as possible, and an abundance of all of the building blocks to grow the hair, and because it is coarse, it looks shorter too. However, some minerals seem to make the hair a little straighter with some.

A lot of females with an African background will wear wigs because their hair won't grow at a fast enough rate but also because they may personally enjoy using one or they won't feel somewhat socially accepted without one.
I have an African heritage along with an Asian one as well and the difference between my hair and my sister's hair is massive. Mine is more coarse, I don't really have much of a natural curl pattern since my hair will automatically turn into a frizzy afro if air dried and takes ages to grow (I literally had to try different diy methods to encourage growth) whereas my sister on the other hand, her hair grows really fast, is so curly it looks like noodles and isn't as coarse as mine.

Black women are capable of growing their own hair, but for some keeping it secured is an easier way for them to manage and grow their hair and wigs allow them to do that.

No they can't grow long hair. Black hair is usually tight curls. Though some are blessed and can grow long hair. They wear wigs as it society thing. They've been conditioned to believe their hair is not acceptable or attractive.
