Why do white people love hiking so much?

Don't know. I never thought of it as a white thing. But now that you mention it, it does seem to be primarily whites. I know why people hike, and know why I like it personally. But I don't know why it tends to be more of a white activity.

People like being in nature. They like the fresh air. They like the exercise. They like the smells and sounds. They like watching the critters. They like getting a better understanding of the world we live in. They like feeling connected to nature. It relieves stress and worries. It's hard to explain. It just feels really damn good.

I could ask the same thing in reverse. Why don't other colors hike? Everyone should.

It's easy to see why in a picture like you posted. Fresh air, birds chirping, beautiful scenery, trail snacks (I recommend Red Vines and sunflower seeds), and just enjoying a little time in nature in a more primeval way than driving through it at 70 MPH.
