If my phone's service is cut off, what happens to the texts?

Do they go through later? Does the other person know you didn't get the message, like does it 'fail'?

Depends on your service provider. Sometimes they go through when your phones service is reconnected. If it was disconnected due to not paying a bill, then they usually don't.

The other person only knows you didn't get the message, if they have delivery receipts turned on.

you know how when you turn your phone off and then you turn it back on and all the messages you got when your phone was off come in? well that's what happens, you'll get your messages when you pay your bill.

My friend has Metro and for her, the texts do NOT go through. I have t-mobile and they do go through. Depends which service you have.

Yea, I've paid late and the service gets cut off, but I'll still receive texts which annoys me because I can't reply back during those times:/
