What should we name our next dog?

My husband and I are getting a second dog in the future.

We're leaning toward a German Shepherd/German Shepherd mix and a male as our current dog is female and we want to avoid the GSD's tendency for same-sex aggression.

We're going to look at shelters, breed-specific rescues, and, as a last resort, breeders.

Here are the names we're toying with.

Basically all modern dog breeds are inbred mutants that humans have created for novelty, and many suffer horrible conditions with their limbs or breathing as a result.

Many cannot reproduce without human "help." But hey at least they look cool.

Mutts are very good for the dog population as the species is trying to get back to "normal."

I think Finn is nice name for German shepard. Thor is more Scandinavian name, and make me think of a more fearful man with long hair
Finn sounds masculine but nice/friendly
In the end I think it's easier to pick name ones you get a face and personality to the animal :)

German shepherds have a lot of health problems, beautiful dogs but they suffer a lot. I have a labrador and it's the best dog I've ever had

Labs also have health problems. All the popular breeds do.

I named a female kitten "Maytag". The industrial drier.
I dislike cutesie names.
