Is the word “Vibe” or the saying “A Vibe” overused and even misused?

Like everyone believes and says they have the best and coolest vibe and that they’re so chill and cool to be around. That they are so peaceful and that they only want to be around “Good energy” but most people that I know that says or believes those things about themselves are usually the total opposite lol. Like they usually are the “Bad vibe” or the one with the “Bad energy” but that could be why they believe they aren’t. A crazy person will never admit to being crazy.

I’ve found that self-centered people really ruin the vibe in social situations. If something doesn’t go their way and they refuse to just roll with the punches and remain positive, they can ruin the night for everyone. Could be as simple as grabbing dinner somewhere that they didn’t want. Like, “there’s a huge menu, you can find something decent to eat.”

I can’t stand that. Be open and open minded. Adapt to your situation. In the grand scheme your problems are minuscule. Non issues. Some people are just freaking whiners.

Yea and that’s why I say people misuse and overuse the word. They’ll swear they are so cool to be around but they’re always quick to complain, get upset about the smallest and most fixable things. Like you said, they can’t adapt to certain environments and situations. If they’re not enjoying themselves, no one else is going to either. They’re only a vibe if they’re doing what they want when they want to do it but God forbid someone wants to have their own input on things, they’ll have a fit. They’re only fun to be around and “Positive” depending on their own satisfaction. They could care less about anyone else’s which to me is not a good vibe or good energy at all.

I had to read up to your 2nd sentence to realise you are not talking about a vibrator.
Also who would care about his/her own "vibes" (in the sense of the question i mean). Someone being too self-conscious maybe?

What you mean to say, succinctly, is : "People who stoke their ego's are rarely ever as good company as they flatter themselves as being, Discuss!"

To me "vibe" is just another way to express how you feel about something.
