If you believe in the ramblings of Erik Erikson, that is the age of Identity vs. Role Confusion. Teens are trying to figure out who they are and how they fit into society… Celebrities are advertised as important people in society so numskulls fall for that shit and latch onto that image, rather than building healthy relationships and deciding how they want to live their own life.
