Eventually it hit Ancient Greece, Rome, combined with dark ages and sharp drop in Literacy, it became a word to describe a prostitute, harlot, etc. to eventually the very word we call today as, "slut". un- means to negate or not... To not make a slut, or to remove or redefine the name of what is considered slut... thats my best guess.

I did not know but after finding out am disappointed. We already had a trem for it. The only reasons i can see this new trem for existing A they didn't know the term backhanded complement or B they were to lazy to text out backhanded complement. A more logical definition would be a complement giving in the form of an insult.
