That sounds pretty awesome tbh.
Sometimes I think whenever I decide to go back to work to get rid of my cellphone and just have a landline. I don’t like this new expectation the last 15 years or so that we should all be able to be reached at any time or be in constant communication. The world worked just fine before all that, and I kind of miss being able to just be incommunicado. My last job would freak out if you didn’t immediately respond to them, even if I was making a long drive for the job. I told them straight up that when I’m driving, I’m driving, and I don’t do other distractions, not even “hands-free” mental distractions. My industry existed before all that, so I don’t really like that they took advantage of everyone having a phone and being able to constantly access us. I don’t think I want to work for anywhere that has those expectations. So in addition to the full unplugging, I’d also like to just drastically reduce how plugged in I am on a daily basis.

I do fairly regularly.
have a Valhalla weekend planned with my team a long weekend of being Norse Demi gods, axe throwing, drinking, eating,
no mobiles or electric stuff, basic camping and cook out stuff
oh and axes, and some archery stuff
they may be a lot of alcohol
I have done this many times. It's not bad at all. It feels so good to be in nature, get enough rest and not have to overthink. I've had many solo adventures and some with besties. Lol they couldn't survive for long though but to me it only matters if it's work related or to remain in contact with loved ones.
I do it from time to time. Sometimes up to a month.
The problem is people who claim to care for you can't understand why you do it.

I could do it, but I definitely wouldn't enjoy it.
I have a summer house that is in a pretty remote place. I do not have cable or internet. If I need to check my email I go sit on the bench in front of the library and use their WIFI. I enjoy being inaccessible and I don't watch much TV except for the local news.
I did for a month or so during last year's pandemic. Best decision ever. I felt so free and relaxed. I haven't felt that good in years. I suppose i finally just enjoyed being away from the Internet (with some exceptions, banking, shopping) and back to a lighter time. Like the late 00's. Before all these apps constantly buzzing.
😂 yeah! And have, its called going camping without your phone and stuff. Week long camping trips are nothing with some dirtbikes and four wheelers. Some tents and some good friends. But its easy to do when i have this view from the other side of my house.

I wouldn't go to a national park by myself but I would definitely like to unplug myself from the civilization for a few days. Being away from my mother would be amazing!
Couldn't afford to take that much time off work. But I do love getting out for a few days. Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Zion, Mammoth... But life gets in the way of enjoying life. Especially recently.
I don't have the opportunity to have free time for a week, so that's definitely not possible in my life.
no, i'm actually quite fed up with "unplugging from the world" thanks to these appalling policies that are forced upon us right now under the guise of "helping us through a global pandemic".
I have, I did & probably will in the future sometime as well.
We've gone camping for periods of time, and it's great.
I actually did, from the first of May to the eighth. No phone, no GAG, no Netflix - nothing.
Do it, grab a tent and a backpack with supplies. Leave your phone and go into the woods if even for a couple days
Unplug as in staying away from internet and stuff? I did that for 2 years. Back then i remeber accessing it only on holidays.
Yes, absolutely.
I've been to a city all by myself for a week. It wasn't without any "civilization contact" but definitely an all by myself and no one around, no encounter experience.Yes. I believe we should all spend a week minimum off grid to get back in touch with nature. I also think we should take part in a mass blackout periodically to reduce light pollution
Used to do it for months at work, always hated coming back to the real world
I used to spend a week or 2 every summer away from it all. It never bothered me & I didn't miss it.
I think about unplugging permanently all the time. An I mean that in both going off the grid and killing myself.
I used to take walks to secluded parts of my city to experience isolation from, well, everything. Abandoned homes were my safe place even with the health risks.
I'd really want that!
