No. I live in alaska. As much as people dream about it, people actually go for it around here. It's just not sustainable in optimal situations and people ultimately take a half measure in a dry cabin off the highway but still 30 minutes from a grocery store and gym to shower.
20 to 25 years old and you know whats what is the dream image of off the grid living. After that it goes down hill real quick. It comes down to how efficient you are to recover from small mistakes that will grow over time.
Yes but each time you use your bank card , get paid, drive your car etc you are on the grid. If you use the Internet or carry a phone you are on the grid.
Sure, I've considered it. But the US government wouldn't let me do it, and now I have elderly relatives to save from their own irresponsibility, so I can't live off-grid. Oh well. At least I can schwack people and take their food. 🤷♂️

Done it a couple of times.
Once in Spain for a month, and the other was in South Africa.
Not fun times.

I am with my Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium, Nickel, Lead, copper, and Tin. All my Art don't hurt either. Soon cash will be used as toilet paper and starting fires.

I have a summer home on an island. That is off the grid enough for me.
