Giving a hickey for the first time, advice?

the neck is definately not the place , even if he has longer hair and you do it close to the back , still bad idea , my boyfriend gave me my first one a while ago and I have long hair and he even did it closer to the back of my neck below my ear and my mom still saw it , that day even , I was walking back to my truck and my mom was watching out the passenger window and the wind blew my hair back , the moment I saw her face through that window I knew I was in for hell , ha ha , so huge tip , not the neck , hah (:

I must be crazy! I thought this hickey stuff was a past time? ^_^ But there's been several questions about it since I've been here. I find it interesting. I've never given one, or received one...and I'm 27yo. Lol. :-P

But I'd venture to guess it's something you wouldn't want visible...to stand out.

We try to hide hickies. It's too personal to be sharing with other people.
