Am I wrong to be a misanthrope, if society considers me ugly and marginalizes me?

Define "society" in your case.

Are they a few individual people that you think consider you ugly? Unless you can state that several thousand people indeed to find you ugly, then you cannot really say that society in general don't find you attractive.

Furthermore, attractiveness is subjective because not everybody sees other humans the same way.

In which way does "society" marginalize you? Does it prevent you from attending events because of your looks? Does it prohibit you from shopping at boutiques because it would give them negative advertisement?

What have you done to change the perception that "society" has of you? This feeling that you are ugly is only in your head but if you let others dictate their opinion, then you will become a misanthrope, but not because you are ugly but because you place too much importance on what others think of you.

If you're a Misanthrope and you're not a sh*tty person, then it's totally reason. A lot of times, however, you get bullies and complete assholes who treat others like sh*t, then complain when they don't have any friends and nobody likes them.

So you have to ask yourself... What kind of misanthrope are you? The justified kind who got sick of being good and treated like a doormat, or just an all-around negative kind who would complain about everything even if they were tall, hot, and famous?
