+1 yI'm surprised how many responses have... really not understood what's being talked about.
There was a theist post the other day that make an analogy to blind people/atheists and the responses were similarly all totally missing the point.
Does... GAG just collectively not understand analogies? What is happening? What is wrong with this forum.
Personally, I don't collect stamps but I don't like labels so don't identify as a non-stamp collector.11 Reply- +1 y

1.4K opinions shared on Other topic. My British grandfather was a stamp collector and he gave me a bunch of his. I actually started collecting some when I was a teenager. I think I went to a rummage sale and got some. I started with animals.
Then my OCDish nature kicked in, and I [had fun?] got all obsessed with organizing them into categories. (I'm sure my grandfather would not have approved, because I think I did them by subject - like a bunch of heads all together, not by country or anything very stamp collector-y.)
So I had two books for a while, but they never came with me in all my many moves (and smaller, urban dwellings), so the books were abandoned and one day my mother got fed up and I don't know what she did with them. Such is the life of a vagabond.
Do I miss them? Nah, not really. I would have sold them to someone/some shop, and got completely ripped off. And that bothers me more than anything. So I ended up giving things away, donating to some organization, where they made a profit. But at least some crook wasn't staring me in the eye doing it.20 ReplyUnfortunately I do collect stamps... from different amusement parks i visit. You know the ones they put on your hands so you can get back in? Yeah, I let them stamp me and then I never wash that hand so I can always get back in anytime I want.
Suckers.73 Reply- +1 y
![Does anyone else NOT collect stamps for a hobby?]()
you'll get one of these stamps!
+1 yI don’t. I used to collect bottle caps when I was a kid. I’d pick up every bottle cap that I saw on the street. And if an adult was drinking something, I’d ask for their cap. I had a huge stash of them. Wasn’t sure what I’d ever do with them. At some point, I was indifferent to them and gave them to someone else that I knew collected them.

wonder if they're worth anything on ebay
- +1 y
Probably not. I didn’t have any rare ones to my knowledge.

+1 yi don’t belong to any stamp collecting groups or anything🤔🤔 i do like the IDEA of stamps but i just think about stamps in a personal way, in my own home😊😊 like i’m not going out of my way to tell other people how to live if they don’t like the same kind of stamps as me🙃🙃🙃
12 Reply- +1 y
I live the NON stamp collecting life. Quite a rigorous one let me tell ya!
- +1 y
just as valid 😊😊
+1 yI don’t really collect anything except books. I really love books tbh. My grandpa has a hugee library in his farmhouse. The library is to live for! It has all the amazing books in the world. I’m on my way to making a small mini library at my home 😌

It’s Hemingway! 😌
- +1 y

- +1 y
Lol yeahh he was, and still is quite famous
- +1 y
i usually picture poets and writers as this scrawny non-muscular dudes but Hemingway shatters that for me lol
- +1 y
Lolll 😂 I’m actually a huge fan of Jane Austen. Her works are fantastic. My dad used to read her stories to me when I was little. I started reading Ernest Hemingway’s books only a little while ago, but his books are fantastic. Totally worth a read.
- +1 y
very nice! you'd do well in an English literature class i bet lol
- +1 y
Lol, English is my favorite subject and thank you! 💜
I'm terrible when It comes to giving pens back. I have an extensive collection of pens I've used to "fill out forms" and forgotten to give it back. You know can actually make big $$$ from being a stamp collector particularly rare ones too?
12 Reply- +1 y
sure but i like NOT collecting them more. its my favorite hobby!

1.7K opinions shared on Other topic. No. But you mindfully being demented over not collecting stamps religiously means you are a cult. Thus a belief.
Hence the joke is on you, as atheism isn't any valid a position than burglary can be called a valid occupation. You can only be a theist or agnostic.01 Reply- +1 y

@Still-alive
Hopefully that's an online newsletter.
I couldn't allow a print version to be delivered to my house.
It would have a mailing label on it.
That would just be unacceptable.
