My great-grandmother’s first husband was a navy seaman first class and was lost in the Bermuda Triangle in 1918.
@Andres77 @SandandWaves I’m working on a mytake, but this is an excerpt.
He was a Navy Seaman First Class on the USS Cyclops which was LOST IN THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE on March 4, 1918. One of the earliest and most infamous tragedies of the mysterious Bermuda Triangle was the loss of this ship. This enormous 542-foot-long Navy cargo ship with 306 men and 10,000 tons of manganese ore onboard, sank somewhere between Barbados and the Chesapeake Bay. Never to be seen again. The ship didn't even sent out a distress signal despite being equipped to do so. I have the official death record of the 306 people on board and Matthew Weiss (GG’s first husband) is on the list.
wow... so sad...
But she never would have met my great grandpa or had my grandpa. 🤷🏻♀️
how did she meet your grandpa
@SandandWaves well, in January of 1920 she found herself living in a boarding house and pregnant by another resident (my great grandpa). They got married in February and my grandpa was born in August.
If I had to guess, I would say her in his. 😉
Great grandpa, great grandma and grandpa all had it.
Yup. She gave it to the baby.
We flew into Munich then to Salzburg, then Innsbruck, then (in no particular order) Hamburg, Hanover, Frankfurt, Duesselsorf, Nuremberg, Wiesbaden. We stayed with a family in Barth (far northern Germany on the baltic sea), for 2 weeks, then Berlin for a few days (stayed in a nasty youth hostel there, but the subway system was awesome).
The rest of the time we stayed in really nice hotels.
@Andres77 it was a geoup of 7 or 8 of us from the local public schools (just me and one other girl from my school) and we teamed up with some HS kids from Frisco, Cali as they put it. And we toured the country and neighboring Austria. I got to practice my german really well. My 16 yo host sister was the only one in her family to speak german. My friend injured herself day one, so much so that we had to take taxis to hospitals in every other day in whatever city we were in. I was nominated her caretaker. Lol. That is for another story...

A) I did it with my college girlfriend in the rafters at a concert
B) I did it with wowgirl behind the bar
C) I climbed on the edge of a volcanic ash ledge in Hawaii to take pictures of flowing lava
I couldn't resist changing the rules - they are ALL true, but (B) was the best by far. The others didn't come close !!
I'm thinking A is the lie because you don't strike me as someone who goes over the limits of what they can drink that much/often. That's like something I'd do.
A is a lie. Nobody goes to the Bermuda Triangle and survives but I could be wrong.🤔
1. I was adopted at an infant.
2. I broke my wrist in high school.
3. I have been to Canada.
Which one is the lie?

I was a qualified Master Driver in the Army.
My lawnmower was 1/3 the price of my truck.

Well, Master Diver would be a lie, you missed the 'r' lol. I was a Master D (r) iver, and while I enjoyed it, it's not nearly as cool. 😂
I've eaten armadillo.
I've eaten three snakes.
I've eaten turtle.
Just so you know, I didn't know it was armadillo in the soup until his claw rolled over... and then I gave the rest to my wife.
We were visiting a very poor family in the jungle in Colombia. We took rice and oil out to them. The mom was making soup. They eat anything and everything they catch. But I couldn't finish the soup.
