How old were you when you stopped being afraid of the dark?

I thought I was afraid of the dark but when I had my dog sleep with me, i was all good. I think I just don’t like being alone. I was around 14 when we had our house blessed by a priest because of some spooky spirit stuff going on. Since then, I’ve been content jumping in a bed all aloOone in a pitch black room

And wherever I decide to reside in the near future, I always do a background check now!

But to be honest, I like the spirit stuff a little. Like why would they make themselves known unless they needed to communicate with you about something? I really didn’t mind it but it bothered my family

I remember being afraid of whatever was in the dark. If I’m familiar with the setting, the darkness doesn’t bother me.
I can’t pinpoint a time where I came to this realization or that I stopped being afraid. Just over time, I think.

It's what's hiding in the dark that you've got to be afraid of. Remember just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there watching you.
