I can't cook in my kitchen because there is a window and a parking lot and a garden infront and people can see me?

The body dysmorphia is literally ruining my life, it's far from normal. I can't go out alone anymore, I'm housebound most days and I even have to hide in my own house so people won't see me there's also a balcony with another parking lot infront, I can't go out to have a smoke even so I smoke inside.

My question is, do you think this is serious? I'm starving also. And yeah can't go out. So do you have suggestions for me what I can do and what kind of help I should seek?

Try to take small steps to challenge it. Maybe just something like going outside for 10 mins a day, if it's too hard go out in the middle of the night or something, but just take very small steps. Don't beat yourself up if you don't achieve it, you're trying and you're making progress, everyone has bad days.

What about your body specifically I want to know... if it scars it shows you lived.. if its birth mark in a werid place then cover it with a tattoo.. make sure your drinking lots of fluids if your not eating... you may not be fat just have a bigger bone structure.. beauty standards in the media and magazines are not ideal they are computerized (photoshopped) to look that way.

We all have our hurdles to cross maybe volunteer at your local hospital, food bank or homeless shelter. I find it helps me not think so negatively about things I can't control.. when I meet other peoples needs first hand.

Your situation sounds very serious to me.

If you can't get it under control yourself, I'd strongly suggest therapy.
There are therapy services available online, if you find it too hard to go outside of your home.
It can help.
There may be medications that might help you get over the acute phase you're now experiencing.

Well, ask your doctor to prescribe Seroquel that is the only medication that has made me feel better now Seroquel is to be taken at bedtime, The doctor started me on a low dosage like 50 mg at bedtime then gradually increased it to 100 mg.. Now I take 600 mg and this is the only medication that has helped me

There's been elements in my life and far more since I'm working at home where I've found the curtains have been closed for the majority/if not all the day. Whilst that is not a solution it certainly gives me an element of peace and I have a ready made excuse that the curtains are closed so it doesn't shine on my laptop. I realise that's not an answer but if it generates a bit of calmness to me, again not sure how that helps, but just letting you know you are not alone.

In answer to your question, your condition, as you've described it, needs a professional to find out what has triggered it and what to do to help you through it. First of all, up curtains in your kitchen so people can't look in.

You really do need to seek help for this condition. Start with your General Practitioner Doctor and get a referral. You can get better.
